Abstract

Listen to lecture and participate in the workshop of Prof. Paul Jason V. Perez of the UP School of Library and Information Studies, entitled: “Building a Digital Community Archives: Tools and Technologies.”

Join us in our 8th National Congress with a theme “Information Centers and Archives in the Age of Participatory Culture: Roles, Paradigms and Tools” from 27-29 October 2021 online. The main objective of this seminar-workshop is to introduce the concept of participatory community archives in a digital platform to the librarians, archivist and information professionals and how this novel “Bayanihan” like approach to collection building, access and preserving valuable cultural artefacts and materials can disrupt the traditional management of archives in both physical and virtual space.
